Job summary
This role is for an AI Engineer to work on AI-driven banking technology solutions within a Nordic financial technology environment. The position focuses on designing, building, and operating backend cloud services and APIs that embed artificial intelligence into banking products and practices. The role involves collaborating across disciplines to transform AI opportunities into secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that support modern banking experiences.

Responsibilities
You will work in an autonomous cross-functional team managing a defined domain. Your responsibilities include identifying AI value opportunities within banking products, shaping architectures and best practices for AI-enabled solutions, modernizing existing technologies with AI-assisted workflows, evaluating and adopting AI tools across software development lifecycles, and taking AI solutions from prototype through production with a focus on quality, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in software development and operations, practical knowledge of AI and machine learning applied to business contexts, proficiency in backend engineering including API and scalable service design, expertise in automated delivery and monitoring, and experience handling security and privacy requirements in regulated environments. Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, databases such as Oracle, container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and OpenShift, modern source control and CI/CD systems, as well as experience with large language model integration and AI orchestrations frameworks is a plus.
