Job summary
This role supports a NATO establishment in Norway focused on enhancing operational capabilities through training and exercises. The position involves producing Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) reports and coordinating targeting missions within joint military exercises. Responsibilities
You will be responsible for consolidating taskings from Component Commands and matching targeting missions to ISR missions to develop Battle Damage Assessment outcomes. Duties include producing phase 2 BDA reports and related intelligence products, distributing reports to relevant NATO command structures, monitoring the accuracy and completeness of BDA reporting, providing timely feedback to exercise control teams to adapt scenarios, attending coordination meetings as an SME, and supporting exercise improvements through feedback. Additional duties as directed by the targeting cell leadership may also be required.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess national and/or NATO training in targeting with at least three years of operational targeting experience. A strong understanding of operational and tactical staff processes and campaign synchronization is needed. Familiarity with key NATO targeting tools and methodologies such as the Joint Targeting System, FAST for time-sensitive targeting, JCHAT communications, and NATO collateral damage estimation practices is essential. Business-level English proficiency is required. A valid national or NATO Secret security clearance is mandatory.
