Job summary
A leading industrial company in Norway seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead and enhance the financial operations within its subsidiary. The role requires driving financial performance, cash flow optimization, and strategic financial planning. The CFO will lead a finance team and serve as a key partner to management and plant directors, ensuring financial integrity and supporting investment decisions. This position is based in Porsgrunn and reports to the Division CFO within a multinational framework. Fluency in English is required; Norwegian language skills are a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the company's financial performance including budget adherence, cost management, and working capital optimization. Head a finance team to deliver high-quality business partnership across units. Oversee cash flow and identify opportunities to improve financial position. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform strategic and investment decisions. Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with international and local standards. Manage tax strategies and relationships with auditors and tax advisors. Oversee energy contract management and internal controls to safeguard company assets. Serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. At least five years of senior finance experience, ideally in the heavy or process industry. Proven success in cost reduction, improving cash flow, and enhancing operational financial performance. Experienced in complex, multicultural, and matrix organizations. Strong business acumen with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills. Fluent English required; Norwegian skills advantageous but not required.
