Job summary
This role supports a NATO-related operational exercise center in Stavanger, Norway, focusing on simulating opposing cyber actors during large-scale military training exercises. The Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert will contribute to the development and execution of cyber incident storylines and coordinate cyber operations aligned with strategic and operational military objectives.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage cyber incident storylines and effects within joint exercise management tools, ensuring alignment with overall opposing force operational plans. Support scripting workshops and advise on cyber implications during exercises. Coordinate cyber injects and operations with other exercise control cells, including cyber response teams. Provide daily cyber updates and feedback during exercise execution and assist in generating operational orders and battle damage assessments. Attend relevant meetings and be prepared to respond quickly to exercise-related urgent issues.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years recent military experience in the operational cyber domain, preferably at officer rank OF3/OF4 or equivalent, with expertise in NATO or national cyber operational exercises. Advanced education related to cybersecurity, computer science, or a similar field from a civilian or military institution. Proficiency in business English. Valid national or NATO Secret security clearance is required. Ability and willingness to work on-site in Stavanger and travel occasionally to other NATO locations.
