Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of data center leads, managing schedules, assignments, and performance to ensure effective workforce utilization. Oversee operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure including power, cooling, network, and security systems. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan and execute data center builds and expansions. Manage installation, configuration, and deployment of equipment while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to mitigate hazards. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Maintain overall health and performance of data center facilities and respond proactively to any issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. 5-7 years of hands-on data center operations experience, with at least 1-2 years in a staff management role within a data center environment. Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure components and industry best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization technologies is advantageous. Certifications such as CDCP or DCM are beneficial.
