Responsibilities
Design, develop, and refine time series forecasting models for weather conditions and energy market variables. Convert analytical models into scalable, production-quality code integrated with a live energy trading platform. Analyze datasets to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy to inform trading decisions. Utilize AI-assisted coding tools to enhance software development productivity. Ensure technical solutions are reliable, maintainable, and operationally suitable by collaborating with relevant teams. Communicate technical findings clearly and collaborate effectively within a distributed international environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Econometrics, Physics, Engineering, or another quantitative field. Minimum three years of professional experience in data science or related forecasting roles with demonstrated expertise in time series forecasting. Proficient in Python and SQL programming; experience with Go is advantageous. Regular use of AI-assisted coding tools in development workflows. Excellent English communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on improving forecasting model performance. Experience in energy markets, power grid data, or related datasets is a plus.
