Responsibilities
Lead design development from concept through construction, ensuring timely delivery of design packages. Coordinate between design consultants, engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients. Integrate architectural, structural, and MEP designs to achieve coordinated, clash-free outputs. Drive design review sessions, value engineering, and constructability assessments. Manage design changes with thorough impact analysis and communication. Align design program with construction schedules and procurement strategies. Ensure design compliance with regulatory standards, planning and building codes, and specific client requirements. Provide technical input to procurement for design documentation. Collaborate with BIM/VDC teams for effective digital design management. Review and approve drawings, specifications, and technical submissions. Facilitate communication between design and site teams to resolve issues.
Qualifications
Degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related construction discipline. At least 8–10 years of experience in design management or technical coordination, preferably within data centre or mission-critical, MEP-intensive projects. Proficiency with BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Solibri. Strong technical understanding across multiple disciplines, including CSA and MEP. Experience managing design deliverables from consultants and subcontractors. Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within specifications.
