Job summary
This role involves leading and managing the multidisciplinary design team within a construction or engineering project. The Design Manager ensures that design activities are coordinated, planned, and delivered effectively, meeting project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The position acts as the primary liaison between design teams, project management, production, and key stakeholders to deliver integrated and buildable solutions.

Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all design-related activities across multiple technical disciplines to meet project objectives. Plan and allocate design resources according to priorities and schedules. Ensure design deliverables align with project requirements and quality standards. Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines. Manage the design budget and resource utilization. Facilitate coordination between design, production, procurement, and other project functions. Communicate design issues and decisions clearly, escalating as needed, and support client and project management interfaces.
Qualifications
Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary design teams in construction or engineering projects. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate complex design activities. Competence in project planning, budget management, and resource allocation. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Ability to identify risks and resolve cross-disciplinary technical issues. Familiarity with integrating design and production requirements to ensure buildability is a plus.
