Responsibilities
Serve as the primary linguistic contact for clients, representing the service provider professionally. Manage and resolve client complaints by identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures. Maintain high language quality standards across projects by managing translation memories, glossaries, and style guides. Collaborate with Project Managers to understand project scope, timelines, and client feedback, integrating input into ongoing work. Supervise and coordinate a team of linguists, assign tasks, provide detailed feedback, and ensure compliance with quality requirements. Translate and proofread documents in the Life Sciences domain with accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Fluency in English and Simplified Chinese with strong communication skills. Expertise in life sciences translation, including CTD quality, non-clinical, or clinical content. Relevant academic background or equivalent professional experience in translation or linguistics, meeting one of these criteria: a degree with significant translation training, at least two years of professional translation with a degree, five years of translation experience without a degree, or a recognized translation competence certificate. Strong attention to detail, capability to handle client interactions diplomatically, and experience mentoring linguists. Familiarity with CAT tools and language asset management is preferred. Prior experience in regulatory or pharmaceutical document translation and in a quality management or team lead role is advantageous.
