Responsibilities
Lead translation and proofreading of life science documents from English into Simplified Chinese, maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance. Serve as the primary linguistic liaison to clients, handling quality issues and feedback professionally. Manage language quality standards and language assets such as translation memories and glossaries. Coordinate with project managers to meet client expectations and timelines. Assign and oversee work of fellow linguists, providing feedback and ensuring adherence to quality and client requirements.
Qualifications
Proven fluency in English and Simplified Chinese with exceptional communication skills. Candidates must meet one of the following: a relevant university degree in Translation or Linguistics with significant translation training; two years professional translation experience plus a college degree; five years professional translation experience without a degree; or a government-issued translation competence certificate. Experience in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or biochemistry is preferred, along with familiarity with CTD structure, terminology, and pharmaceutical regulatory documents. Prior leadership or quality management experience in translation projects, expertise in CAT tools, and managing translation assets are advantageous.
