Job summary
This role supports NATO Joint Warfare Centre exercises by integrating gender perspectives and human development aspects into military training scenarios. The position involves acting as a subject matter expert on gender, human rights, and transparency, coordinating with humanitarian organizations, and contributing to the development and execution of realistic training exercises preparing NATO forces for operational challenges.

Responsibilities
Provide expertise on human rights, gender, and transparency to realistically represent these aspects in training scenarios. Act as the main contact for NGOs and humanitarian crisis response regarding gender perspectives in exercises. Coordinate with international organizations and ensure the scenarios support training objectives. Assist in developing operational concepts that include civil society and humanitarian issues. Analyze training plans to assess impacts on affected nations' civil society and generate exercise materials that present complex challenges. Represent a fictional umbrella NGO organization aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals during exercises.
Qualifications
University degree in gender-related studies or equivalent experience (3 years in past 10) in a gender-focused military or civilian organization. Over 3 years of senior-level experience working with or alongside NATO at operational level, including at least 2 years within the last 10 years as a Military Officer or civilian expert. Fluent business-level English is required. Holding a valid national or NATO Secret security clearance is mandatory.
