Seeking a Legal Advisor to support international military training exercises in Stavanger, Norway. Responsibilities
Provide expert legal advice on international legal frameworks and policies relevant to NATO forces during training exercises. Ensure realistic representation of affected nations' legal environments in exercise scenarios. Coordinate legal matters with military and political representatives and the exercise control team. Support topics including International Humanitarian Law, protection of civilians, Security Council Resolutions, and review Memorandums of Understanding and technical agreements. Assist advisers on specialized legal areas as needed.
Qualifications
Master's degree in International Law. Minimum of 3 years experience within the last 10 years influencing national policy at strategic level in International Law. Minimum 3 years experience briefing senior leaders in national or multinational contexts. Experience supporting exercise planning and execution at NATO operational or equivalent level. Proficiency in business-level English. Valid National or NATO Secret security clearance.
