This freelance remote role requires an experienced Localization Quality Assurance Lead to oversee the quality of English to Latvian translations within UI, marketing, product, legal, and support content. The lead acts as the primary language quality owner and client linguistic expert, ensuring consistent application of translation standards and managing ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Manage and monitor the quality of Latvian language localization for a major technology client. Analyze and implement style guide updates, facilitate regular communication and alignment with language teams, provide targeted coaching and training to reviewers, handle arbitration cases and escalations, and maintain a strong working relationship with the client's Language Manager. Drive continuous quality improvements and uphold consistency across all content types.
Qualifications
3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance or related senior language lead roles. Proven ability to manage client relationships and arbitration processes. In-depth knowledge of localization evaluation frameworks and quality audit methodologies. Strong skills in analyzing style guides and mapping client expectations across content types. Experience facilitating meetings, coaching linguists, and delivering quality reporting. Native-level proficiency in Latvian and professional-level English are required. Prior experience in technology localization projects is preferred.
