Responsibilities

Responsibilities include developing and managing maritime scenarios during exercise planning workshops, coordinating maritime effects in simulation modules, overseeing maritime operations during exercises, providing real-time scripting adjustments, collaborating with various exercise control cells, and advising leadership on maritime operational matters. The role also involves attendance at multiple coordination meetings and readiness to support crisis action teams as needed during exercises.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years experience in operational maritime roles within the last 12 years, including at least 2 years at sea and command experience at OF4 rank or higher. Experience in NATO or national maritime command, with staff officer roles at 2-star level or above, and familiarity with recognized maritime picture analysis and operational planning is required. Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office applications is essential. A higher level civilian, military, or staff college education or degree is necessary. Candidates must hold a valid national or NATO Secret security clearance.
