Job summary
This role involves managing all aspects of mechanical systems design, coordination, and installation on construction projects. The successful candidate will lead BIM coordination, engage closely with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve issues, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards. The position demands strong technical knowledge of mechanical installations, solid project management skills, and experience working within a multidisciplinary construction environment.

Responsibilities
Manage mechanical system design, procurement, and installation to meet project goals. Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to address technical challenges. Review and coordinate design drawings ensuring they are construction-ready. Handle Requests for Information and technical queries to maintain the schedule. Oversee site safety and quality assurance in line with project plans. Coordinate engineering activities with project stakeholders to avoid delays. Manage costs, resources, subcontractors, and materials for the mechanical package. Supervise daily site operations and ensure procedural compliance across teams. Lead BIM efforts focusing on modular design and fabrication details. Support continuous improvement and mentor junior engineers. Facilitate project close-out activities including documentation and safety files.
Qualifications
Minimum five years of relevant experience with MEP or mechanical contractors, consultancies, or in-house teams on construction projects. A trade qualification or tertiary degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required. Proficiency in HVAC systems, piping, enclosures, and mechanical installation methods. Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software to produce detailed fabrication drawings. Experience with project planning tools such as Primavera or MS Project and project reporting. Competence in project cost control and valuation processes. Strong understanding of QHSE standards and site safety requirements. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities, with effective time management and organizational skills.
