Job summary
An experienced Mechanical Project Manager / Engineer role focused on leading end-to-end delivery of mechanical systems for large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects in Norway. The position involves oversight of mechanical packages such as HVAC, cooling, and piping systems throughout design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases, with an emphasis on quality, safety, schedule, and technical standards. Responsibilities
Lead all phases of mechanical package delivery including project scheduling, budget, risk, and resource management. Oversee mechanical system design, installation, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Coordinate construction activities and manage subcontractor work. Facilitate technical meetings and coordinate closely with cross-disciplinary teams such as electrical, CSA, and commissioning groups to ensure smooth integration of mechanical systems. Drive value engineering and design optimization initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Preferably supplemented with professional project management certifications. At least 8 years of experience delivering mechanical engineering projects, ideally in data centres, pharmaceutical facilities, mission-critical, or large industrial environments. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors. Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, piping, mechanical plant systems, and commissioning processes. Proficiency in engineering and project management software. Fluent in English with excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
