A Multimedia Technical Specialist role supporting large-scale NATO training exercises in Stavanger, Norway. This position focuses on producing and editing broadcast-quality TV news reports and multimedia content related to media simulation efforts during military exercises. Responsibilities
Review exercise scenarios and related media documentation before exercises begin. Capture and edit digital video, audio, and still images using professional multimedia and lighting equipment. Collaborate daily with assigned TV role-players to plan news content, including b-roll, graphics, scripts, and shooting logistics. Set up and operate multimedia equipment to support interviews, stand-ups, and press conferences, ensuring safe handling and transport. Digitally deliver finalized multimedia products to NATO audiences using web, cloud, and network platforms. Work closely with the lead multimedia technician to ensure compliance with media standard operating procedures. Create and post strategic social media content to support exercise objectives as needed.
Qualifications
At least five years of professional experience in multimedia production focused on news or storytelling with video, audio, and graphics within the past ten years. Minimum three years working as part of a multimedia or news production team. Post-secondary education in a multimedia-related field. Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Word. Must provide an online portfolio with at least five examples of prior multimedia work detailing technical production methods and equipment used. Fluent business-level English required. Valid national or NATO Secret security clearance is necessary. Available to work on-site in Stavanger, Norway, mostly during designated exercise periods lasting 5 to 15 days, with possible remote work on an ad hoc basis.
