Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of senior platform engineers in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, developer tools, and security foundations. Own the platform engineering roadmap, balancing operational demands with planned strategic projects. Provide technical guidance and challenge to senior engineers, foster autonomy through context and feedback, and collaborate with domain teams and senior individual contributors to align platform priorities with company goals. Establish lightweight operational processes to manage incidents and keep the platform reliable without micromanaging.
Qualifications
8+ years of software or platform engineering experience with at least 3 years managing senior engineers in platform, infrastructure, or SRE roles within a product-focused company. Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform), Kubernetes-based systems, and CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or ArgoCD. Experience in translating business priorities into an actionable platform roadmap, balancing technical investments with business needs, and leading autonomous, high-performing engineering teams. Strong communication skills and a strategic, product-first mindset are essential.
