Responsibilities
You will configure and deploy various operating systems including Windows, Linux, Solaris, and VMware ESXi, perform detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis across systems and networking devices, and ensure seamless hardware and software integration within datacenter environments. The role includes physical system assembly with attention to safety and quality, installation of communications and network cabling, interpretation and auditing of engineering drawings, and direct collaboration with engineering and technical staff. You will also implement scheduled engineering changes, document all processes thoroughly, and support system testing in lab and production settings.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field with relevant engineering experience, and be able to obtain and maintain required US government top-secret and special access program security clearances. Proficiency with Windows, Linux, VMware configuration, TCP/IP networking, and hardware/software integration is required. Additional expertise in network security, firewalls, automation, scripting, Agile methodologies, and mechanical assembly for IT infrastructure is preferred. Ability to lift equipment and willingness to work full-time onsite with up to 25% travel is necessary.
