Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate core components of a next-generation serverless distributed search system. Enhance concurrent and consistent data indexing across multiple machines. Maintain cluster coordination to ensure high performance and system stability despite dynamic node changes. Scale system capabilities with focus on shards, nodes, and data volume. Investigate performance and concurrency issues, propose effective solutions, and support engineering teams in resolving complex problems. Lead operational investigations until issues are resolved.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in distributed systems with a strong understanding of consensus algorithms. Proficient in core Java, including data structures and concurrency constructs, alongside advanced language features. Skilled in algorithm development and large-scale distributed systems design and debugging. Ability to manage projects across multiple engineers and deliver complex features impacting many machines. Proven use of AI tools to enhance development, debugging, and optimization processes. Excellent cross-functional collaboration with autonomous work style. Bonus expertise includes knowledge of data stores, search technologies like Lucene, JDK internals, and asynchronous event-driven frameworks such as Netty.
