Seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable backend systems focused on authentication and authorization. Responsibilities
Design and build core authentication and authorization services applying modern security best practices. Develop resilient gRPC/HTTP APIs and microservices on Kubernetes ensuring high availability and low latency. Drive backend innovation through clean coding and architectural improvements. Lead initiatives in threat modeling, system performance tuning, and reliability engineering to strengthen security. Mentor engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to shape technical direction and cultivate a secure-by-default culture.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in developing and operating distributed backend systems using a modern typed programming language, with strong proficiency in Kotlin. Deep knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks such as OIDC, OAuth2, RBAC, and ABAC. Practical experience with cloud-native technologies, including Elasticsearch and cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure. Proven ability to own production services from design through deployment and incident management. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, mentorship-focused approach.
