Responsibilities
Drive the vision and design for major networking initiatives covering ingress, DNS, security controls, and private connectivity for a cloud platform. Lead cross-organizational projects through full lifecycle from proposal to launch. Manage service reliability and incident response through on-call participation and operational investigations. Mentor engineering teams, advise stakeholders on technical trade-offs, and enhance platform security, stability, and cost efficiency. Collaborate transparently across teams to deliver technical solutions at scale.
Qualifications
Proven experience leading complex, distributed software systems at scale, preferably at Principal or Staff Engineer level. Deep expertise in application networking and cloud-native architectures with hands-on knowledge of ingress, DNS, security controls, and private connectivity design and operation. Experience building large SaaS platforms with strong focus on reliability, testing, and observability. Ability to independently manage projects and guide multi-engineer teams. Skilled in operational incident management and applying AI tools to enhance development and debugging. Strong communication and leadership skills in distributed teams. Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and major cloud provider ecosystems is advantageous.
