Job summary
This role supports NATO exercises by developing strategic and operational level scenarios, providing expert advice, and coordinating exercise content. The position involves working closely with political-military command structures to enhance training outcomes for NATO forces, ensuring alignment with NATO doctrines and objectives. Work is performed primarily in Stavanger, Norway, with some remote and travel requirements.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage realistic strategic and operational dilemmas for NATO exercises; ensure exercise content supports training objectives; coordinate with multiple exercise control cells to maintain scenario coherence; produce and update exercise documentation; monitor training audience activities and provide feedback to adapt exercises as needed; role-play political-military entities within exercises; advise and mentor NATO staff at strategic and operational levels; contribute to lessons learned and doctrine updates; assist in creating political-military documentation and injects during exercise phases.
Qualifications
Minimum three years recent experience in NATO or national strategic-level command roles or equivalent; experience briefing senior leaders in multinational environments; strong knowledge of NATO combined joint operations, crisis response management, and planning processes; advanced English proficiency with ability to create and edit formal documents; experience with Microsoft Office tools; must have held military rank OF-6 or higher or equivalent; graduate of senior staff or defense college; possession of valid national or NATO Secret security clearance.
