Seeking a Senior Application Systems Engineer to support building automation and energy management projects across Europe. The role involves hands-on development of scalable system designs, validating these solutions onsite, and bridging technical, sales, and delivery teams. Responsibilities
Develop architectures and application designs for Building and Energy Management Systems. Conduct site surveys and technical assessments across various European countries to gather requirements and evaluate conditions. Translate field data into actionable designs and project scopes. Lead preparation of proposals, Statements of Work, and integration diagrams. Define system integrations including HVAC, refrigeration controls, lighting, and submetering. Design and validate communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, RS-485, and IP while managing design risks to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
Proven experience with Building and Energy Management Systems and strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration controls, electrical distribution, and submetering. Hands-on expertise with Niagara/JACE platforms or equivalent BMS systems. Experience delivering multi-site rollouts in industries like retail or commercial environments, including site surveying and design translation. Excellent collaboration skills across engineering, sales, and field teams with a readiness to travel extensively (over 50% within the EU). Strong communication, detail orientation, independent work capability, and a field-first mindset.
