Responsibilities
As a Senior Automation QA Engineer, you will develop, execute, and maintain automated test setups including functional, integration, contract, performance, and load testing. You will define comprehensive testing strategies aligned with domain needs and ensure availability of proper test data. Collaborating closely with product owners and peers, you will promote testable specifications, drive adoption of TDD/BDD methodologies, and support continuous improvement in tooling and processes. Additionally, you will coach junior team members, contribute to cross-team communities of practice, and research innovative quality assurance tools and methods in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should have deep practical experience with agile quality assurance practices at scale, strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (especially Playwright), and experience with TypeScript and JavaScript programming. Familiarity with cloud services (preferably AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and Atlassian tools is important. Proven ability in defining and executing testing strategies, strong problem-solving, coaching skills, and a passion for engineering excellence and continuous learning are essential. Fluency in English is assumed; no Norwegian language requirement is indicated.
