Responsibilities
Lead backend development for orchestration of payment workflows and integrations. Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services ensuring reliability and maintainability. Make critical architectural decisions while writing clean, tested code. Implement modern development practices such as TDD and BDD. Develop frameworks and tools to facilitate third-party integrations. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align deliverables with user needs. Conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement efforts focused on engineering excellence and enhanced developer experience.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in backend engineering and the full software development lifecycle. Proven experience in designing backend services for distributed systems. Proficiency in a backend language, preferably Python, with openness to other technical backgrounds. Familiarity with development methodologies like TDD and BDD. Understanding of scalable system design, software architecture, and testing strategies. Effective communication skills and a proactive, autonomous work style within remote teams. Interest or experience in financial payments is advantageous but not mandatory.
