Seeking an on-site Security Manager to lead physical security efforts at a data center construction site in Narvik. Responsibilities
Lead security operations on the construction site, overseeing access control, personnel and vehicle screening, and perimeter security. Collaborate with contractors and security vendors to implement and maintain security policies and incident response. Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure proper installation and commissioning of security systems such as CCTV, biometrics, and intrusion detection. Manage relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services. Maintain security documentation, risk registers, and provide regular updates. Facilitate the transition from construction to operational security, including staff onboarding and system acceptance.
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in physical or data center security, particularly in construction or critical infrastructure environments. Proven ability to manage security programs, work with general contractors and engineering teams, and handle security technology solutions. Strong project management and communication skills required. Experience with hyperscale data centers, security platforms like Genetec, and certifications such as CPP or PSP are advantageous but not mandatory.
