Seeking a Senior EHS Advisor responsible for overseeing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) performance on construction projects. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain project-specific EHS plans and safety documentation compliant with legislation and client standards. Conduct regular site inspections and administrative audits, driving corrective actions to closure. Lead risk assessments, control hazardous substances, and approve permits and safety procedures for electrical activities. Manage incident investigations and produce detailed reports with corrective measures. Oversee subcontractor safety performance, coordinate EHS training and toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards. Monitor environmental performance through waste reduction and pollution prevention initiatives. Prepare monthly EHS performance reports and represent the company in safety forums. Travel to project sites as necessary to support EHS activities and embed a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

A tertiary degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, or a related field is required. Minimum of five years of hands-on site-based EHS experience within construction, MEP, industrial, or electrical projects, preferably including data centre, pharmaceutical, or power sectors. Strong knowledge of current EHS legislation, COSHH, permit-to-work, and safe switching procedures in LV/MV/HV environments. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent mandatory; ISO45001 or ISO14001 lead auditor/practitioner qualifications are highly desirable. Proven ability to lead root-cause analyses and implement effective corrective actions. Excellent communication skills for reporting and influencing across all project levels. Proficiency with MS Office and EHS reporting systems is expected. The candidate should demonstrate a proactive, methodical approach with attention to detail and strong collaborative skills.
