Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end electrical system design from feasibility and front-end engineering to construction for large-scale power transmission projects. Develop optimized technical solutions for connecting utility-scale assets to electrical grids. Facilitate technical dialogue with transmission and distribution system operators to ensure compliance and address requirements during design. Oversee engineering aspects including tender processes, contractor oversight, design reviews, quality assurance, and issue resolution. Collaborate across engineering disciplines and project management to achieve optimal client outcomes. Manage interactions with senior client technical leadership. Drive cross-project development of scalable technical concepts and actively participate in industry working groups and forums to influence and stay updated on emerging standards and practices.
Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience in electrical system design and modeling for large power installations, including Grid-forming equipment and FACTS devices like (e-)STATCOMs and frequency converters. Proficiency with simulation tools such as PowerFactory and PSCAD. Demonstrated experience leading large, complex electrical packages for utility-scale installations including renewables, battery energy storage systems, and data centres. Strong managerial skills with at least five years in leading engineering teams. Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities. OEM experience is a plus. Norwegian language skills are not required.
