Responsibilities
Design and maintain scalable bare metal provisioning platforms with an emphasis on OpenStack Ironic. Manage the full lifecycle of physical infrastructure including provisioning, enrollment, and deprovisioning. Build automation workflows for diverse hardware profiles, integrating related OpenStack services. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced hardware and provisioning issues. Participate in on-call rotations and incident responses. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure planning, capacity expansion, and hardware validation. Support pre-sales technical guidance and contribute to upstream open-source communities to align platform evolution with industry and operational needs.
Qualifications
Proven experience in operating Linux systems and managing production infrastructure. Specialized knowledge in OpenStack Ironic and associated provisioning technologies. Strong understanding of bare metal provisioning methods including network boot procedures and out-of-band management interfaces like Redfish or IPMI. Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and scripting languages including Python and Bash. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues across hardware, network, and management layers. Experience with large-scale infrastructure operations focused on reliability and safety. Collaborative communication skills and experience engaging with upstream open-source projects are highly desirable.
