Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain core components of a next-generation serverless search platform, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability. Improve indexing systems supporting concurrent operations across distributed nodes. Manage cluster coordination to uphold system performance despite dynamic node availability, ensuring data safety and system liveness. Address technical challenges including performance bottlenecks and concurrency issues, providing solutions and supporting engineering teams. Lead end-to-end operational investigations to resolve performance or stability incidents.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in distributed systems engineering with a deep understanding of consensus algorithms. Proficient in Java, including concurrency constructs and modern language features. Skilled in algorithm design and able to work on complex multi-machine systems. Experienced in independently owning projects from design through delivery, collaborating across teams, and using AI tools to enhance development and debugging. Able to work autonomously within distributed teams using clear, transparent communication methods. Knowledge of data stores, search technologies such as Lucene, and asynchronous network frameworks is a plus.
