Job summary
This role supports a NATO training center in Norway by providing expertise in representing an affected nation's land military strategy during multinational training exercises. The position involves advising on operational and strategic land force matters, ensuring realistic military postures, and coordinating with exercise participants to enhance training outcomes. Extensive experience as a senior military officer and strong operational planning skills are required, with work primarily conducted onsite in Stavanger, Norway, including occasional remote duties.

Responsibilities
Develop and present realistic land force strategies reflecting the affected nation within joint NATO exercises. Provide expert guidance on military land asset deployment and operations. Coordinate land-related operational matters with training audiences and exercise control teams. Analyze and contribute to the scenario development to ensure accurate land force representation. Generate challenging exercise materials consistent with NATO doctrines and contribute to the assessment and improvement of civil-military land interactions.
Qualifications
At least 3 years within the past decade of service as OF5 rank or higher in national Army or Marines, with experience briefing senior leaders and leading operational planning in strategic land headquarters. Demonstrated operational knowledge of civil-military land force interactions and a relevant university degree or Staff College completion. Proficiency in business English and possession of an active national or NATO Secret security clearance are mandatory.
