Job summary
Seeking a senior mobile product engineer skilled in iOS, Android, and backend development to build and deliver end-to-end features for a consumer AI mobile app. The role involves working in a small, direct decision-making team, shaping product features, monetization elements, and user experience enhancements with a fast-paced and thoughtful approach. Responsibilities
Own and deliver features across iOS, Android, and backend platforms, from concept to user-facing implementation. Develop product features such as avatars and user engagement tools, as well as monetization components like paywalls and pricing experiments. Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leadership. Translate ambiguous ideas into actionable development tasks, provide critical feedback on specifications, and unblock colleagues to maintain momentum.
Qualifications
Over five years of professional software engineering experience with consumer mobile applications. Strong native development skills on either iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin), with experience shipping features on both platforms. Proficient in backend API design and development. Demonstrated ability to lead complex feature development end-to-end. Strong coding passion and problem-solving agility. Good design intuition and ability to shape product direction. Fluent in written and spoken English. Bonus experience includes startup environment work, backend experience with Python/FastAPI or JVM languages like Scala, handling in-app purchases and subscriptions, implementing real-time features such as chat or voice, and experience with A/B testing and product analytics.
