This role supports high-level NATO exercises focused on enhancing operational capabilities by acting as a senior government representative of an affected nation. The adviser provides strategic political guidance, simulating a Minister or Deputy Prime Minister role to ensure realistic interaction with training audiences during complex multinational exercises.

Responsibilities
Provide expert political advice reflecting an affected nation's government perspective during multinational NATO exercises. Act as the liaison for strategic matters, coordinating political and operational impacts within the exercise control team. Develop concepts of operations and plans related to the nation's political position. Support and analyze training audience plans and generate realistic, challenging exercise materials in coordination with exercise leadership.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent. At least three years within the last ten years of political decision-making experience at a Ministry of Foreign Affairs level in Africa. Experience briefing senior leaders and influencing national policy at a strategic level. Excellent business English skills. Valid national or NATO Secret security clearance. Availability for short-term, intensive exercise support, primarily on-site in Stavanger, Norway, with possible ad hoc remote work.
