Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain backend integrations and APIs for home energy devices, including batteries, solar inverters, HVAC systems, and smart meters. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain integrations with OEM cloud platforms across various home energy devices. Design and enhance home energy APIs to unify telemetry and control systems. Monitor integration performance and participate in incident triage. Collaborate with product managers and commercial teams to evaluate new integration opportunities. Engage with customers to inform product development. Deliver production features using Node.js and TypeScript in an AWS environment, balancing speed, quality, and impact.
Qualifications
Proven experience building and maintaining backend services, especially for API-driven or integration-focused systems. Strong skills in designing reliable, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions. Experienced in managing projects from scoping through production deployment and iteration. Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills and a product-oriented mindset. Familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and databases such as PostgreSQL or TimescaleDB is advantageous. Knowledge of home energy systems or IoT ecosystems is a plus but not mandatory.
