Responsibilities
Lead the development and architectural enhancement of core storage engine components, identifying and resolving performance issues related to indexing, serialization, and resource use. Drive cross-team initiatives to advance observability solutions. Collaborate with a distributed engineering team to improve logs and metrics capabilities. Promote best practices in coding standards, system clarity, and operational improvements. Act as a subject matter expert and mentor within the engineering organization. Contribute to resolving issues and reviewing code in collaboration with domain experts.
Qualifications
Proven experience building scalable, high-performance distributed systems, databases, or search engines, particularly focusing on storage, indexing, and query execution. Strong expertise in Java programming and concurrency. Experience working autonomously and collaboratively across distributed teams with effective communication. Knowledge of various data storage technologies and novel indexing methods for time-series or log data. Familiarity with code review processes, software design, and operational excellence. Ability to integrate AI tools for development and debugging is advantageous but not mandatory.
