Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML. Establish best practices to ensure high performance, memory efficiency, responsive UI, and cross-version compatibility. Champion accessibility by integrating and validating support for relevant Windows accessibility APIs and usability standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product design, UX research, and QA to shape features and roadmap. Own features throughout their lifecycle, ensuring quality and reliability. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and propose robust solutions. Mentor and lead engineering peers in technical decisions and code reviews.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in Windows desktop application development with expertise in Windows App SDK, WinUI or related UI frameworks, C#, and XAML. Strong understanding of Windows application architecture and interoperation between managed (.NET) and native code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM). Proven record of shipping high-quality desktop applications focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance. Experience with Windows accessibility APIs and a commitment to inclusive software design. Solid foundation in software engineering principles such as object-oriented programming, design patterns, and asynchronous programming. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide technical design and collaborate effectively across teams. Preferred experience includes automated UI testing, performance tuning, localization, telemetry, and managing CI/CD pipelines for desktop apps.
