An experienced telecom engineer role in the oil and gas sector focusing on maintaining and supporting IT, OT, and telecom infrastructure offshore. The position involves technical surveys, designing and coordinating network installations, and supporting connectivity solutions such as radiolink, satellite, cellular, and subsea fiber. The role requires collaboration across multiple technical disciplines and vendors to ensure effective communication systems on offshore rigs.

Responsibilities
Manage daily operations and provide support for existing IT, OT, and telecom infrastructure. Conduct technical surveys to inform design and installation plans. Support and coordinate offshore connectivity solutions including radiolink/Line of Sight, Starlink satellite, 4G/5G, T-FAST, and subsea fiber networks. Lead the intake, onboarding, and migration of rigs to standardized communication solutions. Design and coordinate network components such as switches, cabling, fiber installation, VLAN configurations, and firewall infrastructure. Oversee telecom and OT systems like TETRA, CCTV, personnel tracking, and audio-visual equipment. Ensure smooth data flow for real-time drilling operations and third-party services. Collaborate and coordinate activities with vendors, rig owners, and technical teams during surveys, design, installation, and commissioning phases.
Qualifications
Demonstrated solid experience working with IT, OT, and telecom infrastructure in the oil and gas industry. Strong expertise in offshore communication technologies including radiolink, satellite connectivity, 4G/5G, and subsea fiber optics. Practical skills in network design covering VLANs, firewall policies, switch deployment, and hardware installation. Familiarity with critical offshore telecom systems such as TETRA and CCTV is preferred. Understanding of real-time drilling data standards like WITSML. Proven ability to coordinate with multiple vendors and technical disciplines. Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving capabilities. Comfortable working across IT, OT, and offshore communication technologies combining hands-on technical tasks with team coordination.
