Join a fully remote engineering team responsible for the backend platform supporting a widely used text-to-speech service with over 50 million users. This role focuses on building and owning APIs related to payments, subscriptions, authentication, consumption tracking, and public-facing services, working with cutting-edge cloud technologies and scalable systems.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs for core platform services including payments, subscriptions, authentication, and analytics. Improve existing services for optimal performance, cost efficiency, and reliability. Ensure correctness and consistency across distributed client applications and billing systems. Automate workflows and processes to reduce manual intervention. Collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to align backend architecture with product evolution. Support B2B and enterprise integrations for external customers.
Qualifications
Proven experience in backend development using TypeScript and Node.js is required. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform is essential; familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on correctness and automation. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is preferred. Experience working in distributed teams and high-availability environments is a plus. Candidates should be comfortable with asynchronous remote work and possess good judgment regarding engineering trade-offs.
