Job summary
We are looking for a senior software engineer focused on building and maintaining complex data products involving large-scale blockchain data. The role concerns designing and implementing backend systems that orchestrate and ensure high quality and correctness of large datasets processed through numerous interdependent models. The position requires strong software engineering skills, deep understanding of data systems, and experience with orchestration, schema management, and distributed data processing.

Responsibilities
Design and build control systems for curated data lifecycles including dependency-aware orchestration, backfills, retries, and failure recovery. Architect dataset management solutions, deciding between models, services, or jobs to deliver accurate data. Establish end-to-end contracts between data ingestion and curation. Implement alerting for data quality to minimize false alarms. Select appropriate programming languages and tools to achieve technical goals. Break down complex problems into actionable tasks for the team and personally develop critical components.
Qualifications
Experience as a backend engineer with a focus on data systems or as a data engineer with strong software engineering skills. Proven ability to build or extend orchestration and scheduling systems, with a deep understanding of their behavior at scale. Skilled in managing schema changes and ensuring data correctness for downstream consumers. Experience operating stateful streaming data processing in production. Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling on large datasets. Solid foundation in computer science and distributed systems. Capability to independently debug and resolve issues. Effective written communication skills for distributed teamwork. Familiarity with multiple programming languages such as Go, Kotlin, Rust, Python, and SQL. Experience with AI tools in software workflows is a plus.
