Job summary
This role entails operating and developing virtualization systems primarily using VMware technologies in an infrastructure environment. The consultant will work as part of a collaborative team handling both shared and customer-specific platforms, focusing on platform reliability, performance, and innovation. The position supports both operational tasks and participation in projects to deliver infrastructure improvements and technology evaluations in Oslo or Stockholm, with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of virtualization infrastructure including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Handle incident resolution, performance optimization, patching, upgrading, and capacity planning. Contribute to continuous improvement and development of virtualization platforms. Participate in internal and customer-driven projects and maintain up-to-date documentation for all systems.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of VMware virtualization solutions such as vSphere and vSAN, and experience with cloud technologies like VMware vCloud Director or VCF 9.X. Familiarity with administration tools including vRealize LogInsight and Operations Manager is expected. Ability to troubleshoot performance and stability issues effectively. Basic operating system skills in Windows or Linux distributions. Skills in scripting, automation, and infrastructure as code are advantageous. A collaborative mindset and initiative are essential.
