Job summary
This role supports planning and execution of NATO operational exercises in Stavanger, Norway, focusing on deliberate targeting within joint operational campaigns. The expert collaborates with exercise control teams and training audiences to develop targeting scenarios, ensure alignment with strategic objectives, and provide subject matter expertise throughout exercise phases. The position requires significant operational targeting experience and knowledge of NATO targeting systems and procedures, with communication in business-level English.

Responsibilities
You will analyze and interpret targeting campaigns, assist in developing scenario documentation for exercises, provide subject matter expertise during planning and execution phases, coordinate various inputs into the targeting process, produce targeting products, monitor dynamic exercise activities, offer expert advice during meetings, update documentation with the latest doctrine and tactics, contribute to exercise improvements, participate in daily coordination meetings, and perform other duties as directed within the exercise framework.
Qualifications
Candidates must be national or NATO trained targeteers with at least three years of operational targeting experience. Comprehensive knowledge of operational and tactical staff processes, campaign synchronization, joint targeting systems (JTS), FAST, JCHAT, NATO collateral damage estimation methodology, and targeting doctrine is essential. Fluency in business English is required. A valid national or NATO Secret security clearance is mandatory.
