Responsibilities
Lead the planning and coordination of topside maintenance activities with various rig leaders and teams. Ensure timely completion of repairs and projects to maintain a minimal backlog. Manage maintenance budgets and cost controls. Oversee maintenance, testing, and repair of ballasting and related rig systems. Maintain accurate equipment status records and ensure compliance with regulatory maintenance requirements. Guide and support maintenance crew, including conducting performance reviews and facilitating development. Maintain optimal spare parts inventory and proper material requisition and returns. Uphold and enforce safety and environmental policies, actively participate in safety meetings, and manage risk proactively. Perform and ensure completion of safety critical tasks and emergency duties as needed. Supervise mechanics, technicians, contractors, and vendors both directly and indirectly.
Qualifications
Preferred recognized technical trade qualification or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years as a Hydraulic Technician, Mechanic, Electrician, or Electronics Technician, plus at least 1 year offshore experience on DP3 drilling units. Completion of required position training within stipulated timeframes. Strong troubleshooting capabilities and leadership skills to motivate and mentor staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams. Proficiency in common office software and specialized systems relevant to the role.
